Who says retail needs to be boring?
With cost-of-living pressure rising, value has become the number one reason users switch food delivery apps. It was also Uber Eats’ biggest perception problem. Loved by many, but often seen as the expensive option.
So we created Ding Dong Deals, a new retail platform built from one of the brand’s most recognisable assets: the doorbell. We transformed the iconic “ding dong” into a cheeky censorship device. Because the deals were so unexpectedly good, people couldn’t help but swear.
The platform gave Uber Eats a consistent, ownable way to show up across every touchpoint. In-app. Social. Digital. Radio. Outdoor. Wherever deals appeared, the ding dong followed. And when Australians heard it, they knew the deal was “ding dong” good.
